The American Palladium Eagle is one of the newest members of the American Eagle coin family. First introduced in 2017, this series is unique for its exclusive use of palladium and limited release schedule. Each year, the coin is usually offered in only one type, with BU, proof, and reverse proof designs appearing on a three-year rotation. A Palladium Eagle-themed shipper and Certificate of Authenticity are also included. The reverse-proof style provides a frosted background with polished design details, creating a distinct appearance.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2025-W Reverse Proof American Eagle Palladium Coin features Adolph A. Weinmans Winged Liberty design. Originally released in 1916, the artwork shows Liberty in profile wearing a winged cap that symbolizes freedom of thought. Because of the wings, the image has often been mistaken for Mercury, giving rise to the Mercury Dime nickname. The inscriptions here read LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, 2025, the W mint mark, and the AW signature mark.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2025-W Reverse Proof Eagle 1 oz Palladium Coin shows an eagle designed by Weinman in 1907 for the American Institute of Architects Gold Medal. This image depicts a bald eagle in left-profile with wings raised, pulling a laurel branch from a rock ledge. Inscriptions here read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, $25, 1 OZ. PD .9995 FINE, and E PLURIBUS UNUM.
History
The Palladium Eagle program alternates between BU, proof, and reverse proof releases. BU coins were issued in 2017, 2020, 2021, and 2023. Proof versions appeared in 2018, 2021, and 2024. Reverse proof issues came in 2019 and 2022, with this 2025 release being the third in the style. The only exception was 2021, when both BU and proof coins were produced.

For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
