Obverse

On the obverse of 2026 American Eagle Gold Coins is Lady Liberty. This famous design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, first introduced in 1907, depicts Liberty walking forward with confidence. She carries a flaming torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left, while the background features the U.S. Capitol, upward sunrays, and a ring of stars. Reverse

The reverse of the 2026 Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coin features the updated bald eagle portrait that debuted in 2021. Created by Jennie Norris, the modern image shows the eagles head in left-profile relief, emphasizing sharp detail and a strong national symbol. History

First offered in 1986, the 1/10 oz American Gold Eagle was created as part of the Gold Bullion Coin Act of 1985. It contains one-tenth troy ounce of 22-karat gold and carries a $5 denomination. Measuring just 16.5mm in diameter, it is the smallest coin in the series and a practical choice for buyers who want flexibility when stacking gold bullion.
