The American Gold Eagle Series reaches an exciting milestone in 2026, celebrating 40 years since its introduction in 1986. Since then, these gold coins have mirrored the changes in the economy and precious metals market. Provident Metals is now offering 2026 American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Tubes for those who prefer fractional gold options with long-term popularity.
Highlights:
Each 2026 American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Tube available here contains a total of 50 coins. These Brilliant Uncirculated coins come in a secure acrylic tube. They feature the U.S. Mints 22-karat gold composition, consisting of 91.67% gold, 5.33% copper, and 3% silver for added strength.
Obverse
The obverse design of 2026 American Eagle Gold Coins features a well-known classicAugustus Saint-Gaudens image of Lady Liberty. Designed in 1907, this version shows Liberty in full figure, walking ahead with a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other. The background features sunrays, stars, and the U.S. Capitol. Inscriptions include LIBERTY, 2026, and the ASG signature mark.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2026 Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coin is the modern bald eagle design first introduced in 2021. This left-facing eagle portrait by Jennie Norris captures the birds distinctive look with lifelike detail. Inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, IN GOD WE TRUST, 5 DOLLARS, and 1/10 OZ FINE GOLD.
History
The 1/10 oz coin continues to be one of the most commonly purchased options in the Gold Eagle lineup. In times when gold prices are especially high, it has often outperformed the 1 oz version in popularity. While the 1 oz coin dominates in several mintage categories, the 1/10 oz coin holds the title for the largest single-year mintage, with over 2.75 million sold in 1999exceeding the 1 oz version by a notable margin.
