Obverse
The obverse of the 2026 Australian Lunar Horse Platinum Coin presents a left-profile portrait of King Charles III. This uncrowned image is part of the first-generation design from artist Dan Thorne and reflects His Majestys official likeness. The inscriptions here read CHARLES III, AUSTRALIA, 1 OZ 9995 PT, and 100 DOLLARS.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2026 Lunar Horse 1 oz Platinum Coin, the design centers around a bold horse rearing up on its hind legs. The stallion appears in left-profile relief, its mane flowing and hooves lifted, with a single peak and rolling terrain behind it. Inscriptions here read HORSE, 2026, the P mint mark, and the Chinese symbol for the Horse.
