Obverse
The obverse of the 2026 Australian Lunar Horse Silver Coin features a left-facing portrait of King Charles III. Shown without a crown, this design by Dan Thorne is the first effigy of Charles III used on Australian coins. The inscriptions include CHARLES III, AUSTRALIA, 2 OZ 9999 AG, and 2 DOLLARS.
Reverse
On the reverse of 2026 Lunar Horse 2 oz Silver Coins, youll see a mare running alongside her foal in grassy fields, with mountains in the distance. This artwork is by Ing Ing Jong, who has been creating Lunar-themed designs for The Perth Mint since 2013. The inscriptions read HORSE, 2026, the P mint mark, and the Chinese emblem for Horse.
