This effigy was created by Dan Thorne and was introduced in 2024. It shows His Majesty in left-profile relief without a crown, following the traditional approach used for modern portraits of British monarchs on circulating and bullion coinage. The inscriptions here read CHARLES III, AUSTRALIA, 1 OZ 9999 AU, and 100 DOLLARS.
