Launched in 2022, The Royal Mints Tudor Beasts Series builds on the legacy of the earlier Queens Beasts Series. This collection offers ten distinct designs influenced by the heraldic statues along the Moat Bridge at Hampton Court. Each beast featured in the series draws on imagery used by Tudor monarchs, especially King Henry VIII, to show the dynastys power after the Wars of the Roses. Right now, you can find 2026 British Tudor Beasts The Queen’s Lion 1 oz Platinum Coins available at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Each 2026 British Tudor Beasts The Queen’s Lion 1 oz Platinum Coin comes in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Orders include individual coins in flips, tubes of 10 coins, or boxes of 100 coins.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2026 British Tudor Beasts The Queen’s Lion Platinum Coins shows King Charles III. This portrait, created by Martin Jennings in 2022, presents the king in left-profile relief without a crown. The inscriptions here read CHARLES III, DG REX FD, and 100 POUNDS.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2026 Tudor Beasts The Queen’s Lion 1 oz Platinum Coins, the design focuses on the Queens Lion tied to Jane Seymour. The artwork shows a crowned lion holding Jane Seymours badge, used by Henry VIII to emphasize her role as queen consort. Inscriptions here read THE QUEEN’S LION, 1 OZ, FINE PLATINUM, 999.5, and 2026.
History
The Queens Lion became part of Tudor imagery during King Henry VIIIs marriage to Jane Seymour, his third wife. Her marriage helped settle court politics after Anne Boleyns dramatic end and gave hope for a much-needed male heir.
