Since it was first introduced in 1979, the Canadian Gold Maple Leaf has become a key part of the modern bullion market. What began as a single weight offering has developed into a full series with multiple sizes available each year. Among these, the fractional coins like the 1/10 oz option are especially well-liked by collectors and investors. Right now, you can purchase 2026 Canadian Maple Leaf 1/10 oz Gold Coins from Provident Metals.

Highlights:

  • Arrives inside protective flips or plastic sheets of 40 coins!
  • 47th release of Gold Maple Leaf Coins!
  • Contains 1/10 troy oz of .9999 pure gold in BU condition.
  • Bears a face value of $5 (CAD) backed by the federal government of Canada.
  • On the obverse is King Charles III.
  • The reverse features the sugar maple leaf.

Each 2026 Canadian Maple Leaf 1/10 oz Gold Coin is available here in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Individual coins are packaged in plastic flips, while sets of 40 come sealed in protective sheets. The 1/10 oz size was one of the earliest fractional coins in the series, first introduced in 1982 during the programs expansion.

Obverse

On the obverse of the 2026 Canadian Maple Leaf Gold Coin is the portrait of King Charles III. This design was created by Canadian artist Steven Rosati and shows the monarch in a left-facing profile without a crown. Rosatis effigy is only the third time a Canadian artist has designed a royal portrait for the nations coinage. The inscriptions here include CHARLES III, 5 DOLLARS, and 2026.

Reverse

The reverse of 2026 Maple Leaf 1/10 oz Gold Coins shows Walter Otts classic sugar maple leaf. First used in 1979 when the series was launched, this artwork has remained the defining symbol of the Maple Leaf bullion series across its many variations. Inscriptions here include CANADA, 9999, 1/10 OZ, FINE GOLD, and OR PUR.

History

The sugar maple tree is well known for its colorful fall display. As summer ends and chlorophyll levels fade, hidden pigments show through in vivid yellows and oranges. The sugar maple is also able to produce anthocyanins, which create bright reds and deep crimsons, making the tree one of the highlights of autumn landscapes.
