The United States Mint introduced the American Gold Eagle and American Silver Eagle Series in 1986, followed by the Platinum Eagle in 1997 and the Palladium Eagle in 2017. Each of these programs highlights designs featuring Lady Liberty and the American bald eagle, with three of the four showcasing Liberty designs adapted from historic United States coinage.
In addition to the American Eagle Series, the US Mint also issues the American Buffalo as its only 24-karat gold bullion series. Offered in both BU and Proof versions, this program brings a modern version of a classic design to today’s investors and collectors.
The Canadian Maple Leaf Series is the flagship program of the Royal Canadian Mint. Two major bullion programs are issued annually by The Royal Mint: the British Britannia and the Gold Sovereign. The modern Gold Sovereign traces its roots back to English coinage from the Tudor era under King Henry VII and has been issued in bullion form since the post–World War II period.
The Perth Mint is widely recognized among investors and collectors for its high-quality bullion coinage. Its long-standing series include the Gold Kangaroo (1986), Silver Kookaburra (1990), Lunar Series Collections (1996), and Silver Koala (2007). Many of these programs are known for their annually changing reverse designs, setting them apart from other major releases.
