While his well-known portrait of the Queen appeared on circulating coins for many years, this series highlights seven of his designs that were not used before. The rim inscription reads 21st April 2026, marking the 100th anniversary of the Queens birth.

Reverse
The reverse of the 2026 Proof The Queen Elizabeth II 100 Masterpiece 1/4 oz Gold Coin presents the Queens royal emblem at the center, surrounded by seven previously unseen portraits of Elizabeth II. Makloufs artistic training and attention to detail are visible in the balanced layout and careful engraving. Inscriptions here read THE RDM MASTERPIECES, ERII, and THE UNSEEN EFFIGIES.
History
