Obverse
The obverse of the 2026 South African Krugerrand Gold Coin features the familiar left-profile image of Paul Kruger, designed in the 1890s and used on every Krugerrand issue since the coins introduction. The inscriptions here read SUID-AFRIKA and SOUTH AFRICA.
Reverse
The reverse of 2026 Krugerrand 1/4 oz Gold Coins showcases the Springbok antelope, a proud national symbol of South Africa that has appeared on the Krugerrand since its first release in 1967. Inscriptions here read 1/4 KRUGERRAND, 2026, FYNGOUD, and 1/4 OZ FINE GOLD.
History
During the Second Boer War, Paul Kruger left the Transvaal in 1900 as British forces advanced. He traveled by train to Loureno Marques (now Maputo) in Portuguese East Africa, then continued to Europe to seek international help for the Boer cause. Kruger lived out his final years in exile, primarily in the Netherlands, where he was honored as a symbol of defiance. Although his appeals for European support were unsuccessful, his legacy endured. He passed away in Clarens, Switzerland, in 1904 at age 78.

All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
