Obverse
The obverse design on the 2026-W Proof American Eagle Gold Coin displays the iconic Lady Liberty artwork by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. Originally created for the $20 Double Eagle, the image shows Liberty stepping forward with a torch symbolizing enlightenment and an olive branch representing peace. The U.S. Capitol Building appears in the background, framed by rays of sunlight and a circle of stars. The inscriptions here read LIBERTY, 1776-2026, the W mint mark, and the ASG signature mark.
Reverse
Featured on the reverse of the 2026-W Proof Eagle 1/4 oz Gold Coin is the American bald eagle. This design, first used in 2020 and created by Jennie Norris, presents a close-up view of the eagles head facing left. The detailed feathers and strong profile stand out clearly against the polished background. Inscriptions here read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, IN GOD WE TRUST, 10 DOLLARS, and 1/4 OZ. History
The quarter-ounce Proof Gold Eagle was introduced in 1988 and quickly became a popular option for collectors. Containing exactly one-fourth troy ounce of 22-karat gold, this denomination provides the same quality and design detail as larger proof coins in a more compact size. It continues to appeal to those looking for proof Gold Eagles with a lower gold weight.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
