Geiger Edelmetalle is one of the worlds oldest refining companies and has been operating in the Saxony region of Germany for nearly 1,000 years. The mint is a private, family-owned operation and is responsible for the production of some of the most-coveted gold and silver bullion products available today. Provident Metals currently has 250 Gram Geiger Square Silver Bars available to purchase online.
When you purchase one of these 250 Gram Geiger Square Silver Bars from Provident Metals, you receive your bars individually sealed inside of plastic sleeves. Each one of these bars comes with some of the latest security features typically prominent among silver bullion coins, as well as proprietary security measures developed and deployed by Geiger Edelmetalle.
The obverse side of 250 Gram Geiger Square Silver Bars includes the image of Schloss Guldengossa. This castle is the official headquarters of Geiger Edelmetalle and was built outside of Leipzig, Germany, in 1720. The building was the first registered building of the company and once played host to such prominent figures as Johann Sebastian Bach. The castle is featured in the center of the design element with its name inscribed below. Geiger Edelmetalle is inscribed above the design and 250 G Feinsilber 999. This side of the bar has a pearl finish for enhanced security.
On the reverse side of each 250 Gram Geiger Square Silver Bar is the repeating LEV rhombus. The LEV rhombus repeats throughout the reverse field of the bar within a framed field that offers an ornate visual for the design element. In the center of the design field on this face, not visible to the naked eye, is a larger LEV rhombus. You can only see this rhombus under a black light as it is applied with a blue UV coating. When a black light is applied to this field, the blue LEV rhombus appears in the center of the design field.
Other security features of this bar include a textured finish on the reverse design field with a high-relief engraving of the repeating rhombus figure. The ribbed edge to the bar is similar to that of reeded edges on a bullion coin. Each bar also comes with a unique serial number found on the reverse.
