Each 3 Idaho Limited Early Release Goldback Gold Note comes sealed in a protective currency slab and has earned a Mint State 70 grade. Notes in this condition show no visible handling marks, creases, or flaws. The Limited Early Release designation applies to a strictly limited mintage of only 3,000 notes within the Idaho Series.

Design

On the obverse of the 3 Idaho Limited Early Release Goldback Gold Note, Laetitia is shown skiing through the Smoky Mountains. The words The Gem State appear on her sweater, connecting the design to Idahos well-known nickname. Laetitia represents joy, with her name derived from the Latin term for happiness. On the mirrored reverse, the layered construction of the Goldback note highlights the detailed security features and the embedded gold within the design, visible through the transparent materials used in production.

History

Idaho is widely known as the Gem State because of its deposits of precious and semi-precious stones, including the rare star garnet that is found in only a few regions outside India. The state also offers a diverse natural setting that includes mountain ranges, steep river canyons such as Hells Canyon, lava fields, and forested alpine areas.
