Design
In the 4 oz Silver Antique Finish Silver Soldiers Collection Greaseman Gary Statue, we see the unit gunner keeping a sharp eye out for threats to his team. A machine gun team like the 3rd Battalion cannot move swiftly on the field of battle due to the time it takes to set up and take down the M2 Browning heavy machine gun operated by Trigger Ted. With Trigger Ted operating the heavy machine gun and Billy Bullets keeping him supplied, it is up to Greaseman Gary to provide close support for his teammates.
History
Greaseman Gary wields one of the more ubiquitous submachine gun designs to come out of World War II. Officially designated the M3 submachine gun, this weapon was best known as the Grease Gun or the Greaser because of its resemblance to a mechanics greasing gun. Produced from 1943 to 1945 and again in the early 1950s during the Korean War, the M3 fired .45 caliber rounds or 9×19 mm Parabellum. The M3 could put out 450 rounds per minute and had an open-bolt discharge action system.
Ordering
As with the other statues of the Silver Soldiers Collection, the 4 oz Silver Soldiers Collection Greaseman Gary Statue has an antique polish that creates old-school visuals and heirloom quality for the finished product.
