Obverse

An American cowboy is shown on horseback on the obverse of the 5 Gram Gold South Korean Cowboy Bars. The cowboy is riding on his horse as it rears up on it hind legs as it approaches a cactus. The inscriptions on this face of the bar include Cowboy above the stylized design, with Fine Gold 999.9 5 G in the field below. The lower-right corner features the Taeguk, or Korean national symbol.

Reverse

KOMSCOs logo and latent security image appear on the reverse side of 5 Gram Gold South Korean Cowboy Bars. There are two inscriptions of the mint name on this face. Above the central design is the inscription of the mint in Hangul, the Korean alphabet. Below the design, the inscription of KOMSCO.

History

The Gold South Korean Cowboy Bars shared the same design elements across the three available weights in the collection. Each one of the bars is individually packaged by KOMSCO with an assay card included. The assay card itself has colorized cowboy artwork with the obverse offering up a more detailed image of the cowboy on his horse riding through the cactus-filled American Southwest. The back of the card include the rearview of a cowboys head, as well as the serial number for the bar with its weight, purity, and metal content listed.
