Each 5 Idaho Goldback Gold Note is produced with genuine 24-karat gold sealed within protective layers to preserve the note while maintaining its gold content. Individual notes are packaged in currency sleeves to protect their condition. Orders of 20 notes arrive grouped together with a black strap and do not include individual sleeves. In addition to its gold content, every Goldback includes security elements such as UV-reactive details, micro-printing, and individual serial numbers.

Design

The obverse design of the 5 Idaho Goldback Gold Note portrays Clementia caring for animals following the devastation of the Great Fire. The Great Fire of 1910, often referred to as the Big Blowup, remains the largest wildfire in the history of the United States. In just one August weekend, powerful winds combined with extremely dry conditions to spread fires across about three million acres of land in Idaho, Montana, and Washington. The disaster resulted in the deaths of 85 people and destroyed several towns, including Wallace and Avery in Idaho. The event significantly influenced national forest policies and helped strengthen the role of the newly formed U.S. Forest Service.

History

Clementia represents mercy and compassion in Roman tradition and was viewed as a quality of wise leadership.
