At the center of the obverse of this 5 oz silver bar is a skull over two crossing swords. A banner runs across the sides and top of the bar that reads “5 TROY OZ,” “AM” and “.999 SILVER.” A piratic theme is common on Atlantis Mint hand-poured bars. No two Poured Silver Bars are identical. When crafting poured silver bars, solid silver is melted and poured into handcrafted molds. Because it cools exposed to the open air, the silver will cool unevenly across the bar. The uneven cooling of the silver results in minor variations in shape, which produces the desired rustic appearance of poured silver bars. Additionally, because the bar has not cooled completely when the image is stamped, the image on each bar will render differently.

This is a thick little bar. About the shape and size of a "Chunky," if you cut it in half. What this means is that the facing side is tiny, and the print is about illegible. They should have made it thinner so the facing side is larger. And it was packaged in a Baggy. Seriously." |
