History

The Statue of Liberty was a project that took more than a decade to complete. The concept behind the statue came from a French architect, the same man who designed the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The statue still stands today in the harbor where it has greeted millions of immigrants arriving in the United States through the processing station at Ellis Island.
