The obverse face of 5 Pesetas Silver Coins includes varying images. The first year of issue in the series featured the female personification of Spain, a feminine figure sitting in a reclined position. Issued through the first year of availability in 1869 and 1870, the inscriptions include the nation of issue and year of issue. Beginning with the 1871 issue of the coins, the reigning monarch in Spain was depicted on the obverse of the 5 Pesetas Silver Coins. King Amadeo I reigned from 1870 to 1873.
