History

Cast-poured silver bars are made by putting silver shot or ingots into a two-piece mold, fully enclosed by top and bottom sections. The mold is then heated, often using induction methods, until the silver melts and fills the molds shape. Once cooled, the bar is removed and finished. Sometimes, molten silver is poured directly into the mold through an opening. Compared to hand-poured pieces, cast bars usually have flatter surfaces and a more uniform appearance.
