The reverse features a magnificent bald eagle perched on a sapling, with wings outstretched in a display of power. The mountain pine sapling is symbolic of a young America growing stronger.
The Walking Liberty Half Dollar was designed by Adolph A. Weinman, who was a former student of the great sculptor, Augustus Saint-Gaudens. This coin is considered by many to the be among the most beautiful half dollar coins ever minted, and it ushered in a new era in American coinage.
The average coins will arrive in circulated condition. They will show signs of age and wear as some of them are about 100 years old. The coins will range in grade from PO to XF+. While the overwhelming majority have readable dates, not all will be readable. They will not be bent or have any holes in them.
