Exclusive to the American Eagle Gold Series, this design from Miley Busiek depicts an entire family of American bald eagles in and around the nest. The female guards a young hatchling in the nest, while a male eagle flies overhead with an olive branch in its talons.

History

American Eagle Gold Bullion coins from the United States Mint are the only American Eagle bullion coins still available in more than one weight. The American Eagle Gold Coin features 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz coins. The 1 oz and 1/10 oz gold coins are the most popular by mintage, while the 1/2 oz and 1/4 oz coins typically have the lowest mintages.

Examples of acceptable flaws at this grade include only minuscule contact marks or hairlines outside the primary focal points of the coin.
