Obverse
The obverse face of the American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin features Walking Liberty. Designed in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman, Walking Liberty was first featured on the US Half Dollar from 1916 to 1947.
Reverse
On the reverse side of American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins, you will find the image of the heraldic eagle of the United States. This design is the official national emblem and was modernized for this series by John Mercanti in 1986.
