Composed of 90% silver and 10% copper, each coin has an approximate diameter of 30mm.
The reverse features both the U.S. Hall of Fame at Bronx College and a slave cabin. FROM SLAVE CABIN TO HALL OF FAME is engraved, honoring Washington’s journey from his impoverished beginnings to his role as an activist, author and educator. BOOKER T. WASHINGTON BIRTHPLACE MEMORIAL and LIBERTY are also inscribed on the outer rim of the coin.
The obverse features a profile portrait of Washington. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and BOOKER T. WASHINGTON are also engraved.
