Queen's Beasts Series | The Royal Mint
Provident Metals is pleased to offer the British Royal Mint’s 2 oz silver bullion series - The Queen’s Beasts. For the first time in the history of the Royal Mint, they are producing a series of silver bullion coins that may act as legal tender, and consists of two troy ounces of .9999 fine silver. Individual coins will ship in a plastic flip, quantities of 10 in a mint-sealed tube, and quantities of 200 in a strapped monster box.
The Queen’s Beasts Series will consist of 10 releases, with each release featuring one of the beasts that stood guard over Queen Elizabeth’s coronation in 1953. Each coin has been designed and sculpted by Jody Clark, sculpture of the most recent effigy of the queen, and will include lions, griffin, falcon, bull, yale, greyhound, dragon, unicorn, and horse. The original Queen’s Beasts stood 6 feet tall, and were sculpted by James Woodford RA. Each of these beasts represents a strand of ancient royal history.
Each coin is manufactured by the British Royal Mint, and has been assured by the Trial of the Pyx. These coins carry a legal tender value of 5 British pounds.
The British Royal Mint is one of the oldest sovereign mints, and has garnered a reputation for producing high quality gold and silver bullion. In addition to the Queen’s Beasts series, the Royal Mint also produces the Gold Britannia and Silver Britannia coins.
