Please note: These coins may come in a variety of years. Orders are packaged according to inventory at the time of shipment.

The Canadian Maple Leaf Gold coin is one of the worlds most popular gold bullion products. The series launched in 1979 at a time when the only other gold bullion coin option was the South African Krugerrand Gold Coin. Over time, the Royal Canadian Mint has taken steps to make the Canadian Maple Leaf stand out. Among those steps was the introduction of the MapleGram. Right now, you can buy Canadian 25 Gram Gold MapleGrams online at Provident Metals.

Highlights:

  • Arrives in a sleeve with individual assay card packs for each Maple Leaf coin!
  • Divisible into 25 individually-sealed 1 Gram gold coins!
  • Contains 25 Grams, .8037 Troy oz, of .9999 pure gold in BU condition.
  • Bears individual face values of $.50 (CAD) fully backed by the Canadian government.
  • On the obverse is Queen Elizabeth II.
  • The reverse features the sugar maple leaf.

With your purchase of a Canadian 25 Gram Gold MapleGram comes two layers of packaging from the Royal Canadian Mint. The 25 individual 1 Gram coins are each sealed inside of assay packs by the Royal Canadian Mint, with each assay connected to the others. This larger pack is housed within a black Royal Canadian Mint MapleGram shipping sleeve. All of the coins are available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.

Obverse

On the obverse side of the Canadian 25 Gram Gold MapleGram is a depiction of Queen Elizabeth II. This effigy is the fourth-generation Canadian bust of the Queen and was created in 2003 by Susanna Blunt. It is just the second effigy ever created by a Canadian artist and is the first bust of a monarch since the reign of King George VI to depict the monarch without a crown.

Reverse

The reverse face of Canadian 25 Gram Gold MapleGrams includes the sugar maple leaf. This iconic emblem of the nation has featured on Canadian Maple Leaf bullion coins since the 1979 introduction of the gold bullion coin. It has subsequently featured on the silver, platinum, and palladium versions of the coin as well. Walter Ott created the image in 1979 for the debut of the gold coins.

History

Canadian MapleGrams are a relatively recent introduction from the Royal Canadian Mint. The MapleGram offers 25 individual Canadian Maple Leaf 1 Gram Gold Coins. The coins are packaged inside of individual assay cards and can be kept together as one 25 Gram piece or divided out as necessary down to 25 individual 1 Gram pieces.
