Let’s be honest, with the high premium over spot, copper is more of a “conversation piece” than an investment. That being said, these are REALLY COOL to hold, to stack up on the counter and admire. About as wide as my cell phone, but longer and much heavier, shiny, just feels GOOD to ‘heft’ in your hands. Arrived extraordinarily well-packaged, each bar in its own ziplock-style bag and also with kraft paper wrapped around each bag. Styrofoam and cardboard ‘spacers’ in box to prevent them from shifting in transit. Took a few minutes to get it all unwrapped. I’ll probably order some 2lb, 5lb, and 10lb bars in the future to assemble a complete assortment. Only downside (maybe): I ordered 20 of these and 20 of the 1 lb ‘cubes’ and they all came in one box, kind of wish they’d have sent 2 smaller boxes. Pretty sure the postal carrier was thinking, “What the H*** you GOT in this little box, man? Depleted Uranium?” Oh yeah, also, I weighed each bar on my kitchen produce scale, every one weighed in at a little more than 1 lb. like 16.1 oz, 16.15 oz. for what it’s worth. Not a precision scale, to be sure, but those are my results, so its definitely what’s promised and a tiny bit more.

I picked up several of these one pound copper bars being somewhat leery regarding the “in person” feel and appearance of the product. I was pleasantly surprised and I’m going to buy more. Although expensive relative to the actual price of a pound of copper, these copper bars will make great inexpensive novelty gifts for the time being and down the road might even pay off.

I ordered several just to have and to give a few as gifts, I like out-of-the-ordinary items and ..how many people have 1-pound copper bars laying around??! The bars are very, very nice and I plan on ordering more of these and probably several different ones as well.

Ordered one 1 pound bar of copper just to test the waters and see if they delivered on their promise of a high quality product. Had my order processed, shipped, and delivered in less that 7 days,(surprisingly fast even though there was a terrible snow storm), and the product was just what they promised. Will continue to purchase from provident metals, 100% satisfied.

It is 5* however, mine received in ziplock type bag and no canvas bag as it states in the description.

I must say, Provident has outdone themselves again! I have never been disappointed with them and now is no exception. I purchased thirty pounds of this metal and each and every pound was in a sleeve and they were wrapped in a plastic pouch for every ten pounds. The entire order was wrapped VERY WELL! And, I love how they keep improving their website and how they keep offering new product…good for them! I am so impressed with Provident that I have spent tens of thousands with them and God willing, I will continue to do so!

Have order 1 pound copper bars before, but this one is by far the best looking and has a very nice shine.

This one of the cheapest non constitutional forms of copper I can find, plus the design is pretty cool looking, too.

I ordered ten of these babies. Eight of them were bright and shiny, two had some tarnishing on them. No worries. I applied some copper cleaner and the tarnish disappeared and they are now flawless. 4 out of 5 stars due to the tarnish. Next, I will order ten of the Aegis design. Provident’s copper bar inventory seems to be dwindling. Much less choice and availability. I’ve been waiting many months for them to re-stock the ten pound bars. I sincerely hope they are not getting out of copper!

Yes I recently bought 35 individual one pound copper bars
and all of them were very nice. The ones I got were the bars with
the copper element on front. Each were individually placed in there
own sleeves and nicely packaged. I would give my recommendation
in buying your metal bullion here. Good Luck and keep stacking

The box had a small tear in it but the plastic wrapping was intact, then re tapped the box. Have not opened them yet to stack.

I order a couple of these bars every time I get some silver, and I love them. They have a nice finish to them and adds some copper weight to my metals collection for the hell of it.

These are beautiful copper bars, each in their own plastic bag. Fast shipping, and the bars look great. No problems to report. Will buy again.

Nothing fancy but still looks good even with noticeable pitting. Will say though that it was an awesome job by Provident from step one with ordering, processing and shipping. Very impressed this time!

I ordered one, as I order a little copper with every order, and the bar I received had 10 pits on the face. I’m not sure how much Provident employees care if they were to receive the product they package, but perhaps they should.
I ordered 4 more and one was mere mint state, while the others had tarnish. It is copper, and it is what it is.
Nonetheless, it’s copper, and I don’t expect every product I receive to be perfect.
Great bar, stick with the other pound bars though.

Ordered 10 of these to just get a feel for them.
They are rather attractive bars, however, I was surprised about the amount of pitting in the bars. It’s not a deal breaker, but several of them it is rather noticeable.

Over all, for stacking purposes, I will get some more of these.

These are nice looking copper bars! The elemental stamping brings out the nerd in me!
