These Indian Head 1 pound copper rounds are delightfully distinctive. Featuring an incuse version of the famous Indian Head nickel design on the obverse, this round consists of 1 lb. AVDP of .999 fine copper bullion.
These great collector’s items are a weighty investment. One inch thick and three inches in diameter, the Indian Head one pound round comfortably fills the palm of your hand. The beautifully cut Indian Head design shows deep detail in the braid and decorative feathers of this historic design, originally produced in 1913.
The reverse showcases a Unification Shield design, inscribed with “E Pluribus Unum,” Latin for “Out of Many, One,” the phrase on the Seal of the United States. The reverse is inscribed with “Copper .999 Fine” and “One Pound,” as well as the year, 2013. Ten decorative five-pointed stars and a fine-circle border further decorate the inscription.
The Indian Head nickel was a five-cent piece designed by James Earle Fraser, an assistant to Augustus Saint-Gaudens. The original piece featured the Indian Head on the obverse and a buffalo on the reverse and was minted from 1913 to 1938. The incuse design on the new 1 pound model harkens back to the Indian Head Quarter Eagle, which pioneered the incuse technique on American coinage.
The Indian Head 1 pound copper round is unlike any other, and would make a great desk ornament or display piece. Get yours today with Provident Metals’ quick and secure ordering system.

"The "rounds" are simply cut from a copper bar and stamped. Extremely jagged edges, deep scars and cracks are visible."

"Don't expect much on the quality side of these. Looks like something you could buy at the hardware store. Mine even came with a crack on the side.
I got this thinking it would be cool to display in my office but after getting it I think I'll just put it in a shoe box in the closet or maybe give it to my kids." |

"This is a pretty neat piece of copper. A new take on one pound copper bars. It has a few dings on the outer edges, but it's not a big deal. Too bad the edges aren't reeded, that would make these much nicer. One thing, they are described as an inch thick, they're actually a half inch thick. I also ordered this round in the Morgan Dollar and Standing Liberty designs. This review could apply to those as well. I'd love to see a two pound version of these, or even larger!"
