Provident Metals is proud to carry these increasingly popular Lakota Crazy Horse 1 oz Proof Lakota Silver Rounds. A real and official form of currency within the Lakota Nation–and a measure to restore prosperity within the Lakota Sioux tribe–each breathtaking silver coin contains One Ounce of .999 Fine Silver and arrives to your door in Proof Condition, including a air-tite capsule to ensure lasting preservation.
On the obverse of each 1 oz Proof Crazy Horse Lakota Silver Round is the bust of its Oglala Warrior namesake, Crazy Horse (c.1840 -1877). Known in his native tongue as Tasunke Witko–His Horse Is Spirited or His Horse Is Crazy–Crazy Horse is one of the most celebrated figures of American Indian history.
In honor of his determination to preserve Lakota culture, not only has Crazy Horse been depicted in stunning detail on the surface of this artful coin, but the Sioux luminary has become an icon of American greatness. His image has also been portrayed on the unfinished Crazy Horse Memorial, carved in the side of a mountain in the Black Hills, South Dakota. On the reverse of each 1 ounce Lakota Crazy Horse Proof is the American bison, a revered emblem within Lakota culture.
The Lakota, also known as Teton, are one of seven Sioux tribes living in the Dakotas. Today, there are approximately 70,000 Lakota people dwelling within the Unites States and Canada, and as a semi-autonomous nation, they have developed their own currency, including 1 oz Lakota Proof Coins.

"
Just received two of these coins. I was only buying one for my mom but something told me to get one for myself and I am sure glad I did! It is mesmerizing to look at and hold. Both sides of the coin have the most intricate design and the coins are flawless. Bottom line, it's the perfect coin to pay tribute to not only Crazy Horse, but to the Lakota nation as well. Extremely happy, thank you Provident once again!"

"
I love what this coin stands for, the quality with which it is struck, and the care with which it is packaged. It is one of my favorites. I stack the bullion version, which are stout and beautiful for a 'generic' round. You get a mint mark and silver content on the bullion rounds too."

"
Get at least 1 of these. A little bit higher premium that the American Eagle but for the awesome detail and beautiful design, I think it was worth the premium. You won't feel sorry for having purchased at least 1 of these beautiful coins."
