Great Britain Platinum Coins
For over 1,000 years, the British Royal Mint has been producing beautiful, reliable currency and bullion. Today, the mint manufactures coins for the United Kingdom, along with 60 other countries. In fact, the mint produces about 15 percent of the world’s coin-based currency.
The Royal Mint has come to be known for two internationally popular series of bullion coins: the annually-released Britannia and the Queen’s Beasts series. Following the success of gold and silver coins within these series, the Royal Mint started producing platinum versions. The Britannia series showcases the Greek goddess in a representation of the British Isles. The Queen’s Beasts series features the 10 heraldic beasts that stood guard at Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation. Her Majesty’s portrait graces the obverse of both series, designed by Jody Clark.
The Royal Mint offers far more than historical value. In addition, the mint’s high quality standards ensure that bullion produced there qualifies for most precious metals IRA accounts. These same bullion coins are also supported by the British national government.
