Proof American Eagle Platinum Coins were introduced in 1997 with 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz coins. From 1997 to 2008, the coins were available with those three fractional-ounce options. In 2009, all fractional-ounce coins were suspended and have not been reinstated since that time.
