I just received my five ounce and one ounce prospector bar today. I have wanted to order these for months and finally did and I am very happy with these great looking bars. I have ordered from provident before but this is my first review. I had a good experience with each of my 5 orders and will be ordering more silver soon.

I love these bars, they are beautifully designed as well as a less costly alternative to other bullion products. Even though they are sealed inside plastic you can see the design of the bars. I recommend these 100%

Doesn’t get any easier than this, you send your money you receive your silver very promptly. What else can a guy ask for? Don’t tell me, I know, but this is the next best thing.

To save the most money I send a postal money order instead of a check, the postal money order is as good as cash and your silver is shipped the day they receive it, works best for me.

I purchase these magnificent specimens from Provident for several reasons. The 1st being that the ROI for these coins is even higher that the 2016 American Eagles with lee investment. The Maple Leafs Buy Back is only a $ .63 spread difference.

In contrast, the 2016 American Eagles ROI spread is $0.73 per coin (on a purchase of 500 or more coins) or $1.14 in a purchase of less than a 500 coins purchase. The American Eagles coins are also magnificent specimens.

You can?t go wrong with either coin in your portfolio; however I enjoy the higher return of the Maple Leafs. And Provident has the lowest prices around.

I looked on line to buy silver bars at a great price, and Provident metals is the best I could find. Speedy service and great looking items, I’m back to buy another 5oz bar and I will be back again next payday. :o)

I just got my 4th order from provident. I have bought a lot of items on line from other places but have never been impressed enough to write a review. Provident has done everything they have promised, and the products are made very well, and priced right. I have loved everything I have gotten. The orders come very fast as well. This was my 7th order from Provident and my 8th is already ordered. I ordered one of these as well as ASE and Maples. The bar is beautiful and well worth the money as it was priced lower than their generic bar. They actually made their first mistake and sent me a 1 oz bar air tite instead of one for an ASE. A two minute call to Provident and the correction was made and one was sent promptly. Very attractive and competitvely-priced chunk of silver. Only dislike is that it is a non-standard size, about 1/8-inch too long to fit in an Airtite holder. Just a fraction shorter and wider would have made them fit into the same capsules as 5-oz. Otherwise, an excellent product.

This was my first purchase into the metal side of investing. I am very pleased with the quality of the item. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to expand on their investment portfolio. The detail on the bar is awesome in my opinion.
I gave this a 5 star rating because the quality and price is well worth it to me. I just wish it was easier to purchase items using cash to take full advantage of the cash discount pricing.

I gave this product a 4. I love the bar itself, but hated that it took almost 4 weeks to receive my product by paying with check. This took longer by about 8 days from any other company I have dealt with. Again though the product itself was nice and it was a good price for a silver bar. I will buy from again, but only when prices drop more where I don’t mind the long wait.

Prospector Bar (5 oz.) is a fine, detailed piece of silver art. Will continue to use this supplier in the future.

I think this is one of the best looking 5-oz. bars I have. As such, I decided to give the 10-oz. bar a try, but the larger version (I got) does not have nearly the relief / detail of 5-oz. bar.

This bar is building a good rep for trade or for cashing in when needed. It is becoming well known and the perfect size for both. Of the strip of 10 that I just received, only a couple had minor roughened edges, which does not hurt the value at all. The quality of the mining images on both sides are what make this bar special for me.

Just arrived edges are terrible – looked like someone took a grinder to it.

This is the common finish when minting bars. Sheets are fed through the “Blanking” press, which punches out the silver bars, called blanks. Similar to coins/rounds, the blanks have rough edges. Most of the rough edges (or burrs) are removed on coins/rounds; this process is not required for bars and are left raw and untreated. This finish does not, in any way, effect the value of the Bullion bar(s).

This bar has an amazing amount of detail and looks terrific. However, it is NOT the same dimensions as a “standard” 5 ounce bar. If you are an OCD collector this might upset you because it will not fit in a 5oz bar tube.

Beautiful craftsmanship ! Between the 10oz 5oz 1oz & the 1oz round the Prospector was the highlight of my collection. Now followed by the Privateer. I cant weight for the Privateer to come out in 5oz & 10oz !

I presonally do not own any of these as of yet, but I do plan on purchasing them soon. They are definitely on my wish list!! I’ve only been dealing with Provident for a few weeks now and I must say that I am completely satisfied with the Customer Service, Pricing, Excellent choices for my collection and quick shipping. Provident has exceeded my expectations!!

No other Silver Bar compares to these from my standpoint!

Provident’s Prospector is by far the most detailed generic I have encountered and purchased. The rounds make excellent gifts. I just received the five oz bars?what beautiful paper weights? and have 10 oz bars on order. I would love to have a 1 oz bar, and will as soon as the price is competitive with a 1 oz round. As I write this the 1 oz bar is priced $.71 higher than the 1 oz round. Don’t know why?
