The obverse of this lovely round shows Lady Liberty striding toward the viewer, holding an olive branch and a torch. The sun rises in the background. LIBERTY arches overhead, and the rim is ringed with stars.
The reverse features a soaring bald eagle, wings outstretched. The radial lines of the sun reach up to fill the background. The top rim reads .999 FINE SILVER ONE TROY OZ. The sun’s orb is filled with the words IN GOD WE TRUST.
The double eagle gold coin, upon which this silver round’s design is based, was designed by sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful coins ever issued by the United States Mint. It was produced from 1907 to 1933.

This won’t be my go to round. In my opinion this mintage appears more nickel than silver. The word LIBERTY appears on the obverse of the coin. Of the 3 purchased, all fail in the LIBERTY stamping. The letters LIB appear abit more defined than the fainting fading ERTY.
I’d rather have an OPM, Mercury Dime design, or Morgan design as a round. Glad I just picked 3.

Pretty good round but not IRA approved. Not sure what difference that makes. The detail on the face fades at the end of the word “LIBERTY” and the branch she’s holding is hardly there. The Provident Prospector detail is much better, deeper and all there, at least in the batch I just received. The Prospector costs less and is IRA approved. I recommend buying the Prospector over the Saint Gaudens. And I can’t find any other place with better prices for 1 oz silver rounds.

These rounds arrived in great condition.Shiny and Bright unlike some mint currency coins. The relief of the design does not seem to be as pronounced as the original coins but attractive nevertheless. Next stop the Morgan rounds!
