2011 Gettysburg ATB Silver Coin

The first of five rounds to be minted in the 2011 set is the 5 oz Gettysburg National Military Park, which pays tribute to the park and honors the Battle of Gettysburg. Located in southern Pennsylvania, Gettysburg National Military Park became protected ground in 1863, soon after President Abraham Lincoln delivered his acclaimed Gettysburg Address.

2011 Glacier ATB Silver Coin

The second 5 ozt silver coin in the 2011 series depicts Glacier National Park, known for its vast wildlife and diverse ecosystems. Located in Montana, the park contains two mountain ranges and is acknowledged for being home to over 1,000 different types of plants and animals. The Glacier coin showcases the park's prestigious scenery as well as prominently displaying a mountain goat, one of the more common creatures that finds its home in Glacier.

2011 Olympic ATB Silver Coin

Olympic National Park's majestic beauty is illustrated on the third coin. The Olympic coin recreates the mountainous, wooded region that embodies the rugged image of the park. In addition to displaying the elevated terrain that is commonly associated with Olympic, the coin prominently features an elk, a mammal distinctively known to inhabit the area.

2011 Vicksburg ATB Silver Coin

Following the Olympic is the Vicksburg ATB coin, which commemorates the 47 day siege that eventually led to the surrender of the city and ultimately to America's control of the Mississippi River. The coin also depicts the U.S.S. Cairo. Sailing up the Yazoo River during the battle, the Cairo was the first U.S. ship to be sunk by a torpedo. It sat at the bottom of the river for nearly 100 years, but is now displayed at the Vicksburg National Military Park in Mississippi.

2011 Chickasaw ATB Silver Coin

The final coin in the 2011 ATB set depicts Chickasaw National Recreation Area, a park found in the south-central region of Oklahoma. Established in 1902, the park is known for its streams, springs and lakes which provide a variety of recreational activities for visitors, such as swimming, fishing, boating and camping. This coin specifically portrays Chickasaw's Lincoln Bridge, a limestone bridge that was built to commemorate the 100th birthday of President Abraham Lincoln.
