Eisenhower Silver Dollars
Provident Metals proudly offers Eisenhower Dollars for collectors of historical coins. In 1971, Eisenhower Dollars entered circulation as a 40% silver coin- the first one dollar coin to enter circulation since the Peace Dollar in 1935.
While circulated coins were crafted from base metals, legislation was passed to create collector’s edition coins which would contain 40% silver. Dwight D. Eisenhower (Ike) was a WW2 general and avid collector of silver coins; thus, after his death, dedicating a silver coin to his memory seemed appropriate.
