The Reddit community known as “Silverbugs” is at it again. The popular group has created a second silver round that investors and collectors will both enjoy.
Containing .999 fine silver, the Silverbugs 1 oz Proof Silver round is now available at Provident Metals. This mirror-like piece follows the community’s first release from 2014, which was known as “Ariana.”
Each Silverbugs Silver Round will ship in a 39mm Air-Tite plastic capsule.
The 2015 Silverbugs obverse portrays a customized, robot-like bug at its center. IN SILVER WE TRUST and SILVERBUG are inscribed around the innovative design.
The reverse — which features the same image as “Ariana” — depicts a creature with spread wings. “Ag” is engraved in its head and inscriptions of 1 TROY OUNCE, 999 FINE SILVER and FOR THE SILVERBUG COMMUNITY surround the image.
Each silver round is manufactured by the North American Mint in New York. The highly regarded mint is known for producing the highest quality private minted silver and gold rounds, as well as top quality proof-like silver rounds.

Silverbugs rounds arrive in proof-like condition. Coins will arrive encapsulated to ensure optimum protection and authenticity.
Wire and credit card orders begin processing immediately, while checks generally take five business days to clear. Once your payment is processed, orders ship in 3-5 days.
Tracking information is provided via email once your product has shipped, and can also be found at your Account page.
When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
Provident is only able to ship to addresses in any of the 50 US states. This includes P.O. boxes and APO addresses.

This round is absolutely beautiful and is so, so shiny! Newer collectors see a black background on these proof coins and assume the coin is colored black. The black is actually the mirror like fields reflecting light. This round is super reflective hence why there is so much black in the fields in the pictures provided. This is definitely one of my favorite silver rounds!"

OK the round is nice perfect, BUT does not have a black background like the photo. I do not understand why it is shown with a black background if it does not have one. No other silver round is shown this way, and I likely would have not ordered it if ii know it was just a standard Silver round for $4.99 over spot. Just not happy about the photo not matching the item. I know they will say "to show detail", but no other round that has detail is shown this way. This is the first order from Provident this I was a little disappointed with my order. I will not return them, but do believe they need to change the photo to the actual round.
