Silver bars are a great way to start your silver bullion collection or portfolio. Many silver bars lack unique design elements typically seen on coins. Silver bar designs mainly feature identifying marks of the bar, and or a simple design element. The Stacking Across America Silver Bars are unique in that they are fully colorized and feature unique and complex designs. Learn more about these license plate bars, right here at Provident Metals.
The first country to introduce license plates was France. This was mandated under the Paris Police Ordinance in 1893. This was followed by other European countries including Germany, The Netherlands, and others. License plates in America were first seen in New York in 1901. However, these early plates were not government-issued, and typically just consisted of the owner’s initials.
In 1903, Massachusetts became the first state to issue plates to its residents. In 1928, Idaho was the first state to put a logo on a license plate. Since then, these registration plates have evolved to include complex designs. As such, they’re now seen as collector’s items and even works of art.
The Stacking Across America Series takes each of the 50 state plates and puts it on a 1 oz silver bar. Each state plate is recreated in full color via advanced UV printer technology.
Each silver bar contains 1 Troy oz of .999 pure silver, arrives in an individual capsule, and has a mintage of just 1,000 bars per state. The obverse of each silver bar shows the state plate, while the reverse of each bar features an American flag with the name of the series.
Furthermore, each state bar comes with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
