A proud soaring eagle flies on the center of the reverse with inscriptions .999 FINE SILVER and ONE TROY OZ.
The Standing Liberty quarter replaced the Barber quarter, which was in circulation from 1892-1916. United States Mint Director Robert Woolley was in search of a new design, as he thought law required it — but he was mistaken. MacNeil’s design was chosen and circulated from 1916-1930.

I bought a quarter from around 1916-1920, I can’t really tell because those coins didn’t have the dates stamped the same as the later coins. This is why the dates rubbed away faster on the earlier quarters. With the wear on my quarter it was hard to imagine what it was suppose to look like. This coin sets it off nice. Very well detailed, and a very nice rendition of an older coin!

I can’t allocate much money into silver, mainly because my income isn’t very strong or plentiful. So I’m cautious as to what I order, but I couldn’t resist these. Beautiful rounds, great strike and sheen. Just a great round to add to the stack. Love how Provident coins come in either zip top mini bags or in flip top plastic holders instead of stacked on each other and wrapped in bubblewrap like some silver I have ordered online. A must for fans of old US coins and fine bullion.

About 2-1/2 years ago, I found this coin at another vendor website, but was put off by the empty date at the bottom. When I saw these, I bought hundreds. Love’em! I’ve always liked the design of the original standing liberty quarter if I could find them in reasonable condition. This design really captures the look of an un-circulated 1916 standing liberty quarter as it must have been straight out of the mint. Bravo for these coins!

I purchased the Standing Liberty coin and I could not be happier. It is a large impressive coin that has lots of character. I was surprised how fine the detail was (you can see the thigh muscles and a nipple on the breast). It has a very solid feel to it, and comes packaged in a protective sleeve. I would recommend this coin.
I would also recommend Provident Metals. I ordered this coin on Friday and received it on Thursday. They have the best shipping around, and ordering from them is hassle free. You get the product so quickly that you don’t have to worry too much about changes in the market. With other metals dealers you have to sign a lengthy contract, open an account and wait 15-20 days to get your gold or silver. In that amount of time anything could happen in the market. With Provident Metals I had nothing to sign, I got my order quickly, and I feel relatively anonymous. Their quality is always great, and the description matches the product. I have not been disappointed yet.
