The Timber Wolf 1 oz Silver Round from the American Wildlife Series is available exclusively at Provident Metals. Each one ounce silver round consists of .999 fine silver, and was manufactured at the Elemetal Mint, an IRA approved facility that uses the highest metal purity and production quality standards in the industry.

A timber wolf faces the viewer on the obverse of this round as another howls at the moon above. The two animals stand in the vast countryside of Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. “TIMBER WOLF” is inscribed above the impressive design.

The US Fish and Wildlife Service reintroduced the once endangered timber wolf to Yellowstone National Park in the 1990s. These wolves were extirpated from the park in an effort to protect local elk and livestock populations. These wolves were designated “endangered” in the 1970’s and Yellowstone was subsequently designated a “restoration area”.

President Ulysses S. Grant established Yellowstone as a National Park (thought to be the first National Park in the world) in 1872. It is a popular tourist destination for its vast wildlife, ecosystems, geothermal activity (including Old Faithful), the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, and much more.

The common reverse of the American Wildlife Series features a stylized version of the United States below a soaring bald eagle with a banner in its beak that reads, “By Thomas D. Rogers, Sr.” “1 OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER” is inscribed below the rendering of the United States.

The wildlife series is comprised of 10 unique obverse designs, all created by Thomas Rogers, a former U.S. Mint sculptor and engraver. His experience and artistry breathed life into each round in the American Wildlife Series.

Individual rounds ship in New Condition in plastic flips. Complete Sets of the American Wildlife Series that include a silver and copper round of each design in a plastic tube are available. Complete sets of Silver Rounds or Copper Rounds in a custom display box signed by Thomas Rogers are also available. There are only 100 signed silver sets and 100 signed copper sets available for purchase, so order now while supplies last.
