Obverse
Queen Elizabeth II features on the obverse of all of the coins available in this Tuvalu Marvel Series 6-Coin Silver Set. Her Majesty is shown here in the popular fourth-generation design from the Royal Mint of England. This image was created in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley for the Royal Mint and featured on British denominations from 1998 to 2015. It served as the sixth-generation Australian coin design from 1999 to 2017, and remains in use for Commonwealth nations like Niue, the Cook Islands, and Tuvalu.
Reverse
One of the six aforementioned superheroes features on the reverse of the individual Tuvalu Marvel Series 6-Coin Silver Set specimens. You will receive six distinctive designs starting with the 2018-dated Thor design. Other images include the 2018-dated Black Panther, Iron Man, and Deadpool coins, as well as the 2019-dated Captain America and Hulk coins. Each coin has its own card with a colorized image of the same superhero.
History
The only coin not available in the Tuvalu Marvel Series 6-Coin Silver Set is the 2017 Spiderman coin that launched the series. A popular issue, it sold out before a larger collectible set could be issued. Each one of the coin designs debuted in coordination with that character featuring in a new major Hollywood film from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
