The Slayed Dollar was inspired by William Barber’s Trade Dollar. The Trade Dollar was an important trade currency in the late 1800’s. The obverse of the Trade Dollar features Lady Liberty sitting on a bale of wheat and other goods frequently traded with the Far East. Lady Liberty holds an olive branch her outstretched right hand. But the Undead Apocalypse has been unkind to Lady Liberty.
On the obverse of the Zombucks Slayed Dollar, a degenerate reflection of the once beautiful Lady Liberty sits atop a throne of human remains. Her fetid right arm holds the reaper’s deadly scythe. In her left hand she holds a banner that reads “Z FIFTY”, and her throne rests on a plaque that reads “SLAYED DOLLAR”. “2019” is inscribed on the bottom of the obverse, and 12 six-point stars are located near the rim.
The reverse of the Proof Slayed Dollar features a gore-splattered biohazard symbol, and the inscriptions “ZOMBUCKS”, “CURRENCY OF THE APOCALYPSE”, and “1 oz .999 FINE COPPER”.
