The obverse features a Native American — believed to be modeled after Lady Liberty — wearing a headdress. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the date of mintage are inscribed.
The reverse is a simple design, featuring a laurel wreath encircling the words ONE CENT.
The Indian Head Cent was produced by the United States Mint from 1859 to 1909. Both the obverse and reverse designs were created by James Barton Longacre, the chief engraver for the Philadelphia Mint.
The cent became extremely popular during the Civil War Era, when metals were in short supply. Their popularity continued to rise after the war, until they were eventually replaced by the Lincoln cent in 1909.

Thanks for the opportunity to provide feedback. I bought four rolls, 200 coins, and spent a bit over $500. The coins are in fine condition as advertised. However, the 200 coins I received consisted of 100 1906s, 50 1905s and 50 1903s. I was expecting a bit more diversity. Perhaps the product description could be made more transparent by stating that each roll consists of 50 coins with the same date."
