Design Recap

2024 American Eagle Gold Coins feature Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ 1907 depiction of Lady Liberty on the obverse, with Liberty’s full-length figure walking toward you with a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other. The reverse side depicts the American bald eagle in a natural design by Jennie Norris. Here, the head of the eagle is shown in left-profile relief with incredible levels of detail in its physical features.

2024 American Eagle Gold Coins

To start the 2024 release schedule, the United States Mint offers the BU American Eagle Gold coins in the four traditional weights of the program. These include the 1 oz gold, 1/2 oz gold, 1/4 oz gold, and 1/10 oz gold coins. Each coin has 22-karat gold content with 91.67% gold, 5.33% copper, and 3% silver.
