Obverse
On the obverse of 2022 Proof Mexican Libertad Silver Coins, you will find a depiction of the national coat of arms. The Mexican seal consists of a Mexican golden eagle in left-profile relief. With its wings raised, the eagle is perched on a prickly pear cactus as it uses its talons and beak to fight a serpent. The words ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS are engraved above the symbol, with a wreath of oak and laurel below.
Reverse
The reverse side of the 2022 Proof Libertad 1/20 oz Silver Coin comes with a vision of Winged Victory. Her figure is captured in three-quarter-profile relief with powerful wings on her back, a laurel wreath in her right hand, and a set of broken chains in her left. The inscriptions include 1/20 ONZA, PLATA PURA, 2022 LEY .999, and the Mexican Mints mint mark.

The 1/20 oz coin in the Proof Mexican Libertad Silver Series enjoyed its highest mintage in 2016 when a total of 12,550 coins were sold. The lowest recorded mintage came in 1998 when just 300 coins were sold. The vast majority of the date marks in this weight had a mintage of 10,000 coins or less.
