Alabama

Simplified Sellers Use Taxes in Alabama are calculated at checkout on the website based on (1) the taxability of products sold by the company in Alabama, and (2) the specific tax rate established by the taxing jurisdiction of the delivery address in Alabama.

Alabama does not require the collection of taxes on the following products sold by the company and delivered to an Alabama address:

– Refined bullion products (including legal tender coins) made of at least 80% gold, silver, platinum, or palladium, and the value is based on the metal content rather than its current form (not numismatic).

All other products sold are subject to Simplified Sellers Use Taxes in Alabama.

As required by Alabama law (Rule 810-6-2-.90.02 Simplified Sellers Use Tax Remittance Program), the company is required to notify its Alabama customers of the following: The company has collected the Simplified Sellers Use Tax on certain transactions delivered into Alabama and the tax will be remitted on the customer’s behalf to the Alabama Department of Revenue.

The company began collecting Simplified Sellers Use Taxes in Alabama on December 1, 2021.  Our tax license number in Alabama is R011208688.

If you are an Alabama-based reseller and wish to file a Reseller Certificate with the company, please download the Alabama Reseller Certificate form here.  Once you have completed this form, either email it to help@providentmetals.com; or mail it to Provident Metals Corp, 6125 Luther Lane, #465, Dallas, TX 75225.  Once we receive your completed Reseller Certificate, we will enter it into our system, and you will not be charged taxes on future orders as long as your Reseller Certificate remains valid and in force.
