About the Intaglio Mint
Established in 2010, the Intaglio Mint is a privately held “boutique” mint. The small business specializes in creating high-quality Silver Rounds, tokens, and medallions. Most of their silver commemorates events, places, and figures from history.
Vintage Horror Series
One popular series from the Intaglio Mint is their Vintage Horror Series. These rounds are individually packaged in plastic flips but are also available in tubes of 20 for larger orders. Each round is made of 1 Troy oz of .999 pure silver.
These rounds display the Intaglio Mint logo on the reverse and an iconic figure from horror history on the obverse. This series has several popular releases, such as the following:
- Dracula: Dracula is seen staring and pointing at the viewer while holding a candle. Dracula made his debut in the 1897 novel by Bram Stoker.
- Frankenstein: Frankenstein is seen front and center with cracks all around him. Frankenstein was first mentioned in the 1818 novel by Mary Shelley.
- The Mummy: The Mummy first hit the big screen in 1932 after the success of “Dracula” and “Frankenstein.” In this round, the Mummy is seen looking at the viewer menacingly, as snakes slither around him.

- The Wolfman: The Wolfman made his first appearance in the 1940’s classic starring Larry Talbot. This round shows Talbot transforming into the Wolfman as he stares at the viewer.
- Swamp Creature: The Swamp Creature made its debut in pop culture in the classic “Creature from the Black Lagoon.” In this round, we see the Swamp Creature emerging from the swamp while looking at the viewer.

Every round has the same reverse which shows a Greek architectural dome on the reverse. Every obverse showcases an iconic figure in Greek mythology.
- Apollo: The god of light, healing, the sun, and archery among others. In this round, he’s seen riding a chariot led by four horses as he prepares to draw his bow.
- Artemis: The goddess of the hunt. Artemis is seen riding a stag accompanied by a hunting dog as she has her bow drawn.
- Aphrodite: The goddess of love and pleasure. Aphrodite is seen resting amidst a backdrop of stone and foliage.
- Scylla: A legendary monster in Greek mythology. Scylla is seen merging from the strait prepared to attack a ship.
Archangel Series
This series from the Intaglio Mint features the archangels that are mentioned in words of Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and more.
