One of the most affordable ways to boost your holdings in silver is to purchase junk silver. The term junk simply refers to the fact that many of the coins have been in circulation and have no collectible value. However, all US silver coins issued on or before 1964 have 90% silver content, making those products a great investment. Provident Metals currently has $1 Face Values of 90% Silver Coins available to you for online purchasing.
When you purchase the $1 Face Value of 90% Silver Coins available in this product listing, the items you receive will be packaged together in plastic bags. This listing promises only to provide a $1 (USD) face value of coins with 90% silver content. We guarantee the coins will come from the US dime and US quarter denomination. However, we cannot guarantee which coin designs, denominations, and date marks you will receive. You could receive all US dimes, all US quarters, or a mixture of the two denominations.
On the obverse face of the 90% silver coins in this listing, you will find various designs available. The US dime has gone through several designs that include, most recently, the Barber Coinage bust of Libertys head from 1892-1916, the Winged Liberty design from the popular Mercury Dime from 1916-1945, and the Roosevelt Dime with a bust of President Franklin D. Roosevelt from 1946-present. Do note, however, Roosevelt Dimes in this listing would end at the 1964 date mark, the last year 90% silver coins were struck.
As for US quarters, the Barber Coinage offered the same bust of Liberty as the dime. The Standing Liberty Quarter was designed by Hermon Atkins MacNeil and in circulation from 1916 to 1930. The current Washington Quarter design was introduced in 1932 with a design from John Flanagan, but like the dimes, the date marks in this listing stop in 1964.
The reverse side of 90% silver coins in this listing shows one of several designs. For example, the Barber Coinage dime had only the denomination with a wreath, while the current Roosevelt Dime has a torch flanked by branches of oak and laurel. Most of the quarters feature some design of the American bald eagle, with several offering a twist on the heraldic eagle image.
