The 1883 Morgan Dollar from the Carson City Mint had a total mintage of 1,204,000 coins. In the 1960s, roughly 62.75% of the total mintage from 1883 was discovered in bags in US Treasury vaults. This amounted to a total of 755,518 coins from the 19th century still in good condition in Treasury vaults.
