NFL Silver Rounds at Provident Metals

NFL Silver Rounds offer a distinctive way to celebrate your loyalty to your favorite football team. Featuring officially licensed logos for all 32 NFL franchises, this collection combines your passion for the game with the lasting value of silver.

Football fans across the country know that NFL allegiance runs deep. In cities big and small, team colors unite entire communities, and Sunday matchups become traditions passed from one generation to the next. Whether it’s the famed “12th Man” in Seattle or the “Dawg Pound” in Cleveland, these fan bases develop identities, rituals, and even superstitions that become part of local culture. The highs and lows of a season can ripple beyond the field, influencing local morale, economic activity, and even workplace productivity. And when a championship arrives, the celebrations often rival major national events.

About the NFL Silver Rounds

Produced in the United States by the Highland Mint, the NFL Silver Round series features the official logos of all 32 NFL teams as well as the league itself. Each 1 oz silver round comes in two variations: a Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) version and a colorized version. Every round carries its own obverse design paired with a shared reverse design:

  • Obverse: Displays the team’s official logo at the center, the team name along the top edge, and the year the franchise was founded along the bottom.
  • Colorized Obverse: Features the same layout as the BU version, with the addition of full-color details applied to the logo and background field.
  • Reverse: Shared across both versions, the reverse side includes the NFL logo in the center with the full league name and founding year around the border.

A Brief History of the NFL

The National Football League traces its roots to 1920, when team representatives gathered in a Canton, Ohio, auto showroom to form the American Professional Football Association. Renamed the NFL in 1922, the league grew from a small group of industrial-town teams into a nationwide powerhouse through strategic leadership, expansion, and the rise of television broadcasts.

Today, the NFL dominates the American sports landscape. Its championship game, the Super Bowl, has become a cultural event watched by millions each year, while regular-season games frequently top television ratings across the country.

Structure of the Modern NFL

The NFL includes 32 teams split evenly into two conferences: the American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NFC). Each conference consists of 16 teams divided into four geographic divisions:

  • AFC East: Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, New York Jets
  • AFC North: Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers
  • AFC South: Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans
  • AFC West: Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Chargers
  • NFC East: Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Commanders
  • NFC North: Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings
  • NFC South: Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • NFC West: Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks
